About Us
Our Story
Danaker is a pioneering diaspora and non-profit organization founded in 2023 in Warsaw, Poland, by young migrant women from Kyrgyzstan.
Having personally faced the challenges of building a life in a foreign country, our founders understood the urgent need for a strong, supportive network for women like them.
Danaker was born out of this shared experience and determination: to ensure that other migrant women do not have to face the same struggles alone. We envisioned a safe and empowering space where women can access resources, gain skills, preserve their cultural identity, and build meaningful connections in their new communities.
From the very beginning, our founders dreamed of a journey in three steps: first, to support migrant women in Poland; then to expand our efforts across Europe; and ultimately, to return to Kyrgyzstan to create opportunities and support systems for women in our homeland.
From our humble beginnings as small community gatherings, we have grown into a recognized organization delivering impactful projects, forging international collaborations, and advocating for voices of migrant women on the global stage.
Our Mission
Danaker is committed to empowering migrant women and youth to become active, equal, and valued members of society. We promote their social, economic, and political integration through education, skills development, and community-based initiatives, while preserving cultural heritage and promoting diversity, inclusion, gender equality, and active citizenship.
By engaging in advocacy and fostering strategic partnerships with public institutions, the Kyrgyz Republic’s Parliament, European bodies, international organizations, NGOs, and diaspora networks, we work to build resilient, inclusive communities across Poland and Europe.
Our work focuses on four main areas:
Integration
Facilitating the personal and professional integration of migrant women by providing guidance, mentorship, and access to essential resources.
Empowerment
Supporting women from migrant backgrounds to access opportunities, develop skills, and reach their full potential.
Advocacy
Amplifying the voices of migrant women at local, regional, and global levels, influencing policies, and representing their interests in decision-making spaces.
Cultural Preservation
Preserving culture while embracing diversity, inclusion, and cross-cultural exchange.
